CustomGPT dashboard allows you to customize your projects, including the Chabot User Experience and Conversation Settings. You can change the project's name, configure the source data, and customize the User Experience of your chatbot to meet your business needs, and configure the Conversation Settings.

Customizing the appearance and behavior of your chatbot is easy with CustomGPT. Simply navigate to the Chatbot tab under your project settings to access various customization options. From here, you can easily adjust the Chatbot User Experience (UX) to suit your needs and preferences.

Additionally, you can customize your chatbot's conversation settings including the response source, chatbot message language and settings for citations. With CustomGPT, achieving the perfect chatbot experience is easy.

Customize Chatbot Appearance

  1. Navigate to your CustomGPT dashboard.
  2. Select a project you want to customize, and click the Overflow icon.
  1. Click the Project Settings button.
  1. By default, you will be redirected to the Project tab, click the "Chatbot" tab.
  1. Change your chatbot avatar by clicking the "Upload new photo" button.
  1. Change your chatbot background image by clicking the "Change Image button".
  1. Change the default prompt when a user opens the Chatbot by entering the text however you want in the "Default Prompt section"
  1. Save the customizations by clicking "Save Changes".

Customize Conversation Settings

To customize your chatbot's conversation settings, please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to your CustomGPT dashboard.
  2. Select a project you want to customize, and click the Overflow icon.
  1. Click the Project Settings button.
  1. By default, you will be redirected to the Project tab, click the Chatbot tab.
  1. Click the Conversation Settings button.
  1. Select the Response Source of your Chatbot. There are three types of sources available for your chatbot:

DefaultThe default source of ChatGPT only utilizes your provided content when generating responses.
My ContentBy selecting "My Content," source ChatGPT will exclusively rely on the content you provide for generating responses.
My Content + ChatGPTOpting for *"My Content + ChatGPT" source* allows ChatGPT to leverage both your provided content and its own knowledge base to enhance its responses.
  1. Select your Chatbot Message Language.
  1. Select the "Citations" settings for your Chatbot.
    i. You can Enable or Disable Citations (which are links to the documents from where the chatbot is getting the information)
    ii. For citations, you can choose these to show only when user initiates the request to show citations, always show these or always hide these.
  1. Save the customizations by clicking Save Changes.
