Enable context-rich starter questions

What are Context-rich Starter Questions?

Context-rich starter questions help your agent engage visitors with more targeted and meaningful prompts. Instead of using predefined static questions, the agent dynamically generates suggestions based on the surrounding content and context of the page.

These questions are especially useful for encouraging users to start conversations that are relevant to what they’re viewing - improving engagement and conversion potential.

This feature works best when combined with Prompt user with a Starter Question, allowing the agent to automatically display a context-aware starter question as a visual prompt.

How to enable Context-rich Starter Questions

1. Navigate to your CustomGPT dashboard, and in the right sidebar click Personalize.

2. Click the Conversation tab.

3. Toggle the setting On to enable Context‑rich starter questions. This allows the agent to automatically craft relevant prompts based on the content of the page it’s embedded on. (This feature is available only if Context Awareness is enabled on the agent’s Actions page. (See Context‑rich starter questions to learn more.)

5. Click Save settings to apply your updates.
