Manage link tagging in conversations

What is link tagging?

No setup is required to start using this feature, it's automatically turned on for all agents. CustomGPT.ai automatically appends the following URL parameter to all hyperlinks shared in chat responses:

?utm\_content=customgpt.ai

This helps you track and analyze traffic originating from your AI agent in tools like Google Analytics or other analytics platforms.

How to disable or enable link tagging

1. In the CustomGPT.ai app, go to Analyze from the right-side menu.

2. Click Reporting.

3. Find Add UTM Tags to In-Chat Links and enable or disable as needed.

Note:

If you disable this setting, the utm_content=customgpt.ai parameter will not be added to any outgoing links in your chats or citations.

4. Click Save Settings to apply the changes.
