This guide introduces the Drive Conversions feature, a powerful agentic action designed to help your AI agent steer users toward a specific goal—like visiting a link, signing up, or completing a purchase.

What is the Drive Conversions feature?

The Drive Conversions feature gives your agent a clear objective: guide users toward a URL you provide. The agent actively works to engage the user, deliver helpful content, and persuade them to take action.

  • Uses advanced agentic flows to guide behavior.
  • Builds its own internal task list based on well-known persuasion principles.
  • Designed to collect contact information where possible to support conversion follow-up.

How is it different from regular agents?

Drive Conversions agents behave differently than standard agents:

  • Responses are shorter, more conversational, and goal-driven.
  • All replies end with a follow-up question to maintain user engagement.
  • Citations are given in the form of human-friendly links (e.g., “Click here”).
  • The agent maintains focus on the objective and executes tasks dynamically to support that goal.

How Drive Conversions works

  • Activate the agentic action: Turn on the Drive Conversions feature for your agent.
  • Set your objective URL: Provide the link where you want to drive users (e.g., a product page, sign-up form, or lead capture).
  • Deploy the agent: This feature works across all deployment options except SGE (Search-Generated Experience).
  • Use with Context Awareness for best results: The Drive Conversions agent works best when paired with the Context Awareness feature. It allows the agent to understand more about the page and user intent—improving its ability to guide the conversation.

How to measure success

You can track performance on the Actions page:

  • View the number of queries handled using the Drive Conversions flow.
  • See how many users clicked on the objective URL provided.
