Manage in-chat avatars visibility
This step-by-step guide explains how to manage the visibility of both the AI agent’s avatar and the user’s avatar inside the chat window. Adjusting these settings lets you create a cleaner, more minimal interface.
What is the In-Chat Agent Avatar?
In-chat avatars are the images displayed next to each message inside the conversation window:
- The Agent Avatar appears next to each response your agent sends.
- The User Avatar appears next to each message the end-user sends.
These avatars provide visual identity, improve brand recognition, and add a personal touch to the chat.
Note:Both user avatar and agent avatar visibility settings are Premium features.
What happens when you disable them?
- If you disable the Agent Avatar, the agent’s responses will appear without an icon.
- If you disable the User Avatar, the user’s messages will appear without an icon.
This flexibility allows you to create a simple, text-only chat layout or keep avatars visible when needed
How to manage in-chat avatars
- In the right sidebar of your agent, click Personalize.

- Click the Advanced tab.

- Scroll down to the In-chat Agent Avatar section.

- Toggle on or off the In-chat Agent Avatar setting.

- Toggle on or off In-Chat User Avatar to hide the user’s image in chat.

Note:AI agent’s avatar and user's avatar settings are independent — you can turn off either one or both.
- Click Save settings to apply your changes.
