Migrating to the new Zendesk integration

CustomGPT.ai has replaced the legacy API-key Zendesk integration with a new OAuth-based version.

Key Changes

The old Zendesk integration is no longer available for new connections. Existing connections now appear labeled as "Zendesk (Legacy)" in your agent's sources and will continue to work indefinitely.


Migration Steps

  1. Go to your agent's Build > Sources section.
  2. Click Add Source and select Zendesk (not Legacy).
  3. Complete the OAuth setup.
  4. Once the new integration successfully imports your content, remove the old Zendesk (Legacy) source.

What's New

The updated integration uses OAuth - no API keys required. You can now connect your Zendesk knowledge base, your tickets, or both. Ticket content can be anonymized before being added to your agent, which is useful for agents deployed externally.
