Persona Playbook
What is the Persona Playbook?
The Persona Playbook is a library of persona templates for common business use cases. Each entry gives you a tested set of instructions, written for a specific agent type that you can copy into your agent's persona field and adapt for your business.
Writing a persona from scratch is harder than it looks. A vague persona produces an inconsistent agent. An overly rigid one makes it feel robotic. The Playbook exists so you don't have to start from a blank page.
What a good persona template gives you
The Playbook entries are not just example text. Each one is built around a specific agent role and explains the thinking behind the instructions, why certain behaviors are emphasized, what boundaries are set, and what the agent is optimized to accomplish.
Copying a template without understanding it leads to a persona that fits poorly. Understanding the reasoning behind the structure is what makes adaptation work.
Templates as a starting point, not a final answer
No template will fit your business exactly as written. The role, tone, and philosophy of an entry should carry over the specifics (your company name, product, industry context) will vary.
The persona field is also not a one-time configuration. Testing an agent against real prompts typically surfaces places where the instructions need tightening. That iteration is part of how personas mature.
