Multi-agent settings and limitations

Plan availability

Multi-Agents is a Enterprise plan feature. The feature is off by default. Contact your account manager to enable it.


Settings controlled by the multi-agent

These settings are configured on the multi-agent and apply to its deployments. They are not saved to or inherited by child agents.

Configured in Personalize:

  • Public/private status
  • Private deployment status
  • Conversation tab settings (Markdown in responses, etc.)
  • Citations settings

Configured in Personalize > Advanced:

  • User Feedback
  • Conversation Sharing
  • Conversation Exporting

Note: Context-rich starter questions are hidden on multi-agents and are not configurable at this time.


Supported deployment types

Supported: Share Link, Embed, Live Chat, Website Copilot, Instant Viewer

Not supported: API (returns "Not supported" error), MCP

Child agents retain their own API and MCP access.


Child agent behavior

  • Each multi-agent supports up to 10 child agents. Contact Sales to increase this limit.
  • The same child agent can be attached to multiple multi-agents.
  • Child agents can be deployed independently alongside or instead of the multi-agent.
  • Removing a child agent detaches it only - it is not deleted.
  • Private child agents do not appear in the end-user dropdown.
